How Technology Will Create These 7 Jobs In The Future

If you had told someone fifteen years ago that you were a data scientist, an engineer for a driverless car, or a drone pilot, they would have given you a strange look. It’s hard to imagine, but those industries didn’t actually exist in 2006. The expected midpoint for automation by 2030 is “about 16 percent of occupations”; as a result of these technologies, there will be an impact and job displacement.

Artificial intelligence, spatial computing, brain-computer interfaces, and augmented and virtual reality are all expected to replace or supplement labour in some way. But despite this, there will still be jobs for people. Here are seven futuristic job listings that could appear on LinkedIn in the future.

1. Hologram Stylist

Today, there is a position called hologram stylist. An on-location wardrobe and makeup specialist is available at Metastage, a studio that uses volumetric video to capture people. For the New York Times, Ashley Graham was captured by Metastage, and their team collaborated closely with Graham’s team “to make sure the right decisions were being made for volcap.” The following styling choices were made:

For example, “no super-skinny stiletto heels, and hair needed to be contained to a unified shape, as small flyaway strands are confusing to the capture system.” According to Harmony Arnold, the studio’s stylist at Metastage, “the studio knows how to keep the algorithms from getting angry. When Ashley came out with her hair down, it was thought to be “risky,” so Harmony assisted in pulling it back.

About the Role:

For our upcoming Hologram Stylist, please apply. If you enjoy building beautiful scenes in spatial computing, this might be you. An experienced stylist with three-dimensional thinking is what we’re looking for.

3. Autonomous Car Licensed Specialist

Drivers of autonomous vehicles must now possess a special licence, even if they are not actually driving. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to ride an Olli autonomous shuttle, you may be aware that the company representative who travels in the vehicle is an engineer who requires a special licence permit in order to “operate” the vehicle in the event that it needs to alter its autonomous course for any reason. The Olli follows predetermined, mapped routes, but occasionally a human is required to take control of the situation as it develops intelligence and improves its spatial reasoning.

The majority of autonomous buses currently in operation could be classified as Level 3 autonomous systems, which means a driver is necessary, per the Society of Automotive Engineers’ guidelines. There are five levels of autonomous vehicles before we reach fully driverless, autonomous vehicles, despite some states’ claims that they won’t require licences for autonomous vehicles. Special licences are needed to operate autonomous vehicles (even if they mostly drive themselves) up until Level 5 autonomous vehicles.

This person needs to be trustworthy and have experience with autonomous vehicles. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing autonomous vehicles, safety, and safe roadways.

New managerial roles are emerging as the types of business transactions change. The market for contacting consumers will change as a result of business-to-robot-to-consumer (B2R2C). According to the B2R2C marketing model, marketing “is changing as voice assistants, artificial intelligence (AI), drones, and digital avatars become the gatekeepers between brands and consumers.”

B2R2C marketing managers will soon use robots to communicate with customers. B2R2C marketing managers will accomplish this by fostering connections with the organisations that design and manufacture robot gatekeepers. Robotic voice assistants are more crucial than ever.

Two examples of voice assistants that have become commonplace in homes are Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. Voice seems to be more important than ever, and Apple revealed Siri is getting a significant makeover at its 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference. “A bigger bank of responses to common questions” is part of the iOS 14 update. Users of iOS 14 will also be able to ask Siri to send brief voice messages and assist with dictation and translation. This includes facts that are over 20 times more plentiful than those Siri had access to three years ago. 2019 saw the update of Siri to read incoming iMessages “with the option for you to reply immediately with your voice.”

We will work with robots and people in ways we had never imagined thanks to the widespread adoption of spatial computing and avatar technology. Chief Empathy Officers will be in charge of guiding staff members and clients through this new environment in a world that has undergone digital transformation. Empathy training can help employees step outside of their own shoes and into another person’s to realise that we are all working towards a common objective at a time when people seem more stuck in their opinions than ever.

The concept of the Chief Empathy Officer is already in use today. According to a Business Solver report from 2019, 82% of workers would consider leaving their current position for one at a company that values empathy. The relationship between empathy and successful business outcomes, according to the report, has never been stronger. Employers with compassion demand longer hours from their staff. CEOs demand change because “critical gaps remain between employees and leadership when it comes to how to exhibit workplace empathy, despite this improved awareness.” A Chief Empathy Officer steps in to help with that. They can train executives, in particular the CEO, how to lead empathically.

Additionally, they can act as the organization’s listening ears to staff members in order to raise morale, identify and develop talent, and demonstrate successful business outcomes. This position is already in existence. One illustration is Claude Silver’s role as Chief Heart Officer at VaynerMedia. She is there to infuse the Agency with empathy, and that is her role and goal.

Someone who is passionate about creating a culture of listening and understanding must fill this position. To promote empathy within the organisation and to communicate with our customers and brand, the Chief Empathy Officer will work closely with executive leadership.
